4-H Positive Youth Development

For over 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all backgrounds and beliefs by giving them a voice to express who they are and how they can improve their lives and communities. 4-H prepares young people for a successful future through educational programs emphasizing life skills. An experiential learning model fosters critical thinking, social skills, communication, citizenship, and leadership. 4‑H is the youth development program of The University of Tennessee Extension. UT is one of more than 100 public universities across the nation offering experiences that enable young people to learn by doing. Franklin County 4-H is committed to providing meaningful opportunities to help our young people grow and succeed. We do this through educational in-school clubs, camps, judging teams, and special interest project groups.
